GENERAL DESCRIPTION and CONTENT

Functions usually have numerical inputs and outputs connected by an algebraic expression. A function can be described through multiple representations, the most common being a function rule, a recursive expression, a table and a graph. The graph is the best way of visualizing the relationship between the independent and the dependent variable and can throw light on the function's properties.
